The Waterlilies’ Cottage is located on the slopes of Mount Etna, 420 meters above sea level, in the countryside sorrounding Viagrande, among istas, vines, olive and chestnut trees. Ciccio, apart from being a hospitable host, is an excellent cook and gardener and an expert in the waterlily’s cultivation. The fishing ponds breed nine different varieties and the lush garden hosts several gatherings of different species of plants. The “palmento”, restored to become a guest house, is a two levels loft fully furnished (bedroom, living room with a comfortable sofa bed, kitchen corner and bathroom). Four persons can be hosted. Mostly Gay ad hetero friendly. Due to its location, the Waterlilies’ Cottage is the ideal place for excursions to the Mount Etna, an active volcano, or for a swim in the Sicilian sea, not far from Taormina and it is very apt for motor biking. Independent car parking.

Our holiday domicile FONTANA CALDA is situated at the bottom of SAN CALOGERO mountain, which is very famous all over the world due to its natural vapour bath grottoes, good for rheumatism and neuralgia therapy. Our estate is about 4 km from the town centre of SCIACCA and also from the sea, situated in a rural and very peaceful idyll of about 30,000 square meters in the middle of a grove of olive trees. Our oldest olive tree has about 2000 years!!
In our large villa, we live in the ground floor: my husband Massimo, Sicilian (a very simpatico one), our son David, 1/3 German + 2/3 Sicilian (that's what he says) and last but non least me, Doris, German (who is living here in Sicily for more than 10 years). Part of our family is also Rubbia, our lovely dog and our cat Chip.
The four brand new (June 2004), nice and cosy apartments are situated on the first floor (mansard). All units are fully equipped with SAT-TV, Hi-Fi, fridge, toaster, heating, air condition, standing fans, linen and towels weekly change, our Olive Oil extra vergine during your stay, garden furniture (sunshade, chairs, table, storm lantern, candels), clotheshorse etc. All our guests can use the washing machine, the iron and ironing board, and our internet to check or send emails (+ wireless Internet access).

Arrival can be any day of the week. Minimum stay is one night.
The CASA FONTANA CALDA is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, if you love the uncontaminated nature and if you don't want to miss the closeness of the sea. You will have a most impressive panoramic view. We are looking forward to our guests who prefer to live individually and to enjoy nevertheless a certain comfort.
SCIACCA (ca.40.000 inhabitants) is situated in the middle of the ancient Greek temples itinerary, on the famous archeological road between Selinunte and Agrigento. It's one of the oldest towns in the island. Sciacca is noted mostly for its Thermal Spa complex, it's beautiful beaches, and it's numerous artisan shops which specialize in ceramic ware.
Within few minutes drive you will find restaurants, pubs, banks, supermarkets, post office, hairdressers, cinemas, museum, churches and other visitor attractions. Within ten-minutes drive you will reach the finest beaches (rocks or sand, as you like).
There is an abundance of good, reasonably priced eating establishments in the area. These include pizzerias and restaurants. Anything from the plain and reasonably priced, to the more sophisticated palate are catered for. Public thermal swimming pool, 10 minutes far.
From Sciacca you can easily reach the most important sightseeing of Sicily in approximately 1 hour drive:
Palermo - 90 km; Selinunte - 30 km; Segesta - 75 km; Eraclea Minoa - 25 km; Agrigento/Greek temples valley - 55 km; Monreale and Erice - 75 km; Piazza Armerina with its antique Roman villa and mosaics - 140 km.
