Il Gallo rosso is an 18th century farmhouse in stones situated overlooking the beautiful valley of "Bagno" and the medieval village of Parrano in Umbria, with our closest neighbour being the famous Tuscany. Sitting on three hectares of natural grassland, incorporating an olive grove and fruit trees, it is surrounded by unspoiled woodland with spectacular views towards the picturesque castle of Parrano (dating back around 1000 years).
Positioned perfectly for the must-see destinations of Rome and Florence, we are situated within 10km of major motorways and train stations, however still maintaining the seclusion and tranquility of a totally rural environment. For our guests we have two independent suites; each containing a separate double bedroom of generous proportion, private bathroom, kitchenette, dining and sitting areas with double sofa beds. Outside, each suite enjoys private access via its own alfresco dining area. You may prefer to stay in the "Lavanda" (Lavender) suite (46 sqm), or in the "Girasole" (Sunflower) suite (40 sqm), tastefully decorated in gentle tones of the corresponding flower that have become synonymous with this area through spring and summer.

Podere Fontegallo is a newly restored 17th century Farmhouse in Umbria/Tuscany for the discerning traveller, perched on a hill in the tranquil Umbrian countryside with spectacular panoramic views to the horizon in all directions.
Podere Fontegallo has been recently restored to a high standard with utmost care using the best materials in keeping with the character of the house.
There is an environmentally friendly swimming pool with water purified by UVA rays (no chlorine) and views of the countryside and Lago Chiusi, and throughout the property are quiet places to sit and admire the views.
Podere Fontegallo offers three apartments and a separate house, each different from the other in décor. All offer breathtaking views, satellite TV, safe, full kitchen including dishwasher and espresso maker. All guests have access to the utility room where there is a washing machine and clothes dryer, and to an office with internet access.
Within two hours by car or train you can see 20% of the world’s artistic heritage and explore Etruscan, Medieval and Renaissance towns such as Cortona (30km), Montepulciano (35km), Perugia (45km), Orvieto (55km), Siena (90km), Florence (130km) and Rome (160km).
