The Garth is a small, privately owned hotel, in the centre of London (Bloomsbury) The building is grade II listed,18th century, Georgian town house of historical interest. It was the birthplace in 1839 of William De Morgan the famous potter and novelist. We pride ourselves on the warm and friendly atmosphere at the Garth, and have established a reputation for our hospitality, which has brought back the same guests year after year. We will do our best to make sure your stay is as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The hotel is owned by Simon Hoare and run by Joey Cruz, the manager, who has been at the Garth for over 13 years. The owner was previously in the Antique business in London and has decorated the rooms and public areas with numerous paintings, photographs and prints to create an art gallery effect. We are at present creating a Mediterranean garden (containing many unusual semi-tropical plants and palms) for the use of the hotel guests. We offer a 10% discount between 1st November and 31st March (excluding new year), we also offer discounts for group bookings.

The apartment is situated in an attractive West End mansion block (above) and the decor in the apartment is fresh with a modern metropolitan feel. You have your own private room and share other facilities including the kitchen and lounge with the friendly owners. We are a small private bed and breakfast and only have the one guest room. We have a non-smoking policy. The apartment has a superb location right in London's West End - in Marylebone, W1 - one of London's most fashionable and central districts. See the map page for further details. It is situated very close to Baker Street underground station. Gay Soho is walkable or you can take a bus, tube or taxi there. The shopping facilities of Oxford Street, Bond Street and Regent Street are close by. There are numerous Gay bars and nightclubs in and around the West End as well as theatres, cinemas and galleries. Hyde Park and Regents Park are also within walking distance. We are very easily reached by public transport from airports, railway stations and bus terminals.
Your room is fully equipped with colour television, music centre, Gay press, alarm clock and towels. Self service breakfast is included. Unlimited tea and coffee available at all times. During your stay you may use laundry facilities (washing and drying) and cooking facilities (including microwave) in our state of the art kitchen should you wish and the telephone is available for local calls. No extra charge will be made for any of these.

Rates
