L'ILGA est l'International Lesbian and Gay Association (association internationale des lesbiennes et des Gays). C'est une fédération mondiale d'associations nationales et de groupes régionaux qui s'emploient à obtenir où que ce soit des droits égaux pour les lesbiennes, les Gays, les bisexuels et les transgenres (LGBT).
Fondée en 1978, elle regroupe désormais plus de quatre-cents organisations . Tous les continents ainsi qu'environ quatre-vingt-dix pays sont ainsi représentés. Les membres de l'ILGA vont de petits groupes à des collectifs nationaux et des villes entières.
À ce jour, l'ILGA est la seule fédération internationale, non gouvernementale, sans but lucratif qui se préoccupe des discriminations basées sur l'orientation sexuelle et l'identité de genre
The International Lesbian and Gay Association is a world-wide network of national and local groups dedicated to achieving equal rights for lesbian, Gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) people everywhere.
Founded in 1978, it now has more than 400 member organisations . Every continent and around 90 countries are represented. ILGA member groups range from small collectives to national groups and entire cities.
ILGA is to this day the only international non-profit and non-governmental community-based federation focused on presenting discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation as a global issue.
La Asociación Internacional de Gays y Lesbianas es una federación mundial de grupos nacionales y locales dedicados a lograr la igualdad de derechos para las personas lesbianas, Gays, bisexuales y transgénero (LGBT) en todo el mundo.
Fundada en 1978, hoy tiene más de 400 organizaciones miembro . Cada continente y alrededor de 90 países están representados. Los grupos miembros de ILGA van desde colectivos pequeños a agrupaciones de alcance nacional y ciudades enteras.
ILGA es al día de hoy la única federación comunitaria no gubernamental sin fines de lucro dedicada a instalar el problema de la discriminación sexual como un tema mundial. |

The mission of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) is to secure the full enjoyment of the human rights of all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of sexual orientation or expression, gender identity or expression, and/or HIV status. A US-based non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), IGLHRC effects this mission through advocacy, documentation, coalition building, public education, and technical assistance. |

InterPride exists:
To promote Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride on an international level,
To increase networking and communication among Pride Organizations,
To encourage diverse communities to hold and attend Pride Events, and
To act as a source of education.
What is a Pride Event? A parade, march, rally, festival, arts festival, cultural activity or other event/activity organized for people identifying as lesbians and/or Gay men and/or bisexuals and/or transgender persons and/or other emerging sexual identities and promoting the visibility and/or validating the existence of those persons and commemorating the Stonewall Riots or a similar historic event/annual/periodic festival as organized by a pride organization.
What is a Pride Organization? A not for profit organization or group whose purpose and one of whose major activities shall be to organize Pride Events. |
